The Pavilions, Hale Village

Location: Hale Village, LB Haringey;
Client: Willmott Dixon for Bellway Homes;
Uses: 140 apartments for private sale;
Awards: Shortlisted in the Planning and Placemaking Awards

The Pavilion buildings are two key private sale apartment blocks at the new major, sustainable, mixed use regeneration development at Hale Village, Tottenham.

RMA gained planning permission for a two storey uplift to the original planning scheme and have subsequently provided construction drawing services for the buildings, now complete and inhabited.

The buildings are located on the eastern side of the site and orientated so that the maximum number of apartments enjoy the spectacular views across the River Lea and neighbouring reservoirs. The buildings themselves express their own identity within the site, have a clear three dimensional quality and the materials used are urban and robust as well as large glazed areas and balconies to exploit the views over the water.

The buildings share the on-site energy centre which helps achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.

RMA have also gained planning approval for three more identical pavilion buildings and a community centre with residential accommodation above. RMA are also involved with coordination of basement works across the whole site as well as providing architectural services for the retail units.
