Gateway to the London Overground station at Homerton , sites on and around Digby Road have been redeveloped with new and imaginative high density developments. This site is situated away from the station and therefore its form and design reflect a gradient of scale extending form the transport hub.
Its situation, forming an edge to the railway line, is complimented in the concept for the façade design This screen separates the apartments and their amenity from the noise and possible disturbance of the railway. The design incorporates flexible workspace at ground floor with apartments and a podium garden above. The design approach mixes the dynamic screen with a calmer brick building to the street, appropriate to the character and streetscene nearby.
